Healthy looking skin makes a big difference to your whole complexion. It puts colour in your cheeks and makes you look healthier. There are lots of ways get rid of spots quickly. Because of this many men and women have the tendency to just try and get rid of the spots when they appear, instead of taking a few minor actions to stop them appearing in the first place, and keep the whole skin complexion better whilst stopping them.
Reduce Sugar Intake
The food we eat has an effect on our skin, you don’t need to suddenly start eating salad every night for dinner but it is wise to look at the amount of sugar in food you eat on a regular occasion. The supermarkets now stock a lot of alternatives which are lower in sugar, buying these can help especially if you are in your teens.
Reduce Stress
One of the big contributors to spots is stress. When you are really busy and under pressure you become more stressed than normal. When you finish work try to relax as much as possible. One simple and great way to relax is to; buy some top quality bubble bath, a few tealight candles, find a chillout CD and have a good soak for as long as you can. If you don’t want to do this every week you may have to consider reducing your hours at work or get rid of whatever is causing you stress.
Change Your Towels
Once you have used a towel it then has dirt and grime on it, this rubs against your face when you dry yourself, this can causes spots. Some people will use the same towel for up to a week or even longer. This is not hygienic and you should get in the habit of regularly changing your towels.
Get Some Fresh Air
Many of us spend the vast majority of the day indoors, the only fresh air we get is when we get in and out of our cars going to and from work. Fresh air and a little bit of exercise (like a brisk walk) is actually really good for your skin and whole body, and it doesn’t cost a penny! Get in the habit of getting 15 minutes fresh air a day via a brisk walk and you could soon seen you skin clearing up and a better overall complexion.
Drink Tap Water
Everyone knows drinking water is good for us, tap water is very cheap (or free if you’re at work) so take advantage and try and get in the habit of drinking at least a pint per day. In doesn’t have to be all in one go – you could try a small glass of water with your breakfast, a small glass with your lunch and a small glass before you go to bed!
The key to having long term healthier looking skin is to get in the habit of doing the above points. Changing your towels, going for a quick walk, having a drink of water – it isn’t hard it’s just getting in the habit. Do this and you will look healthier and at no real cost!
