  • Energy Efficiency - it is important to get your fire and heating system checked regularly to check it is working and at full efficiency. Local councils provide grants for older people who need central heating, so get in touch with them to see if they can help.

  • Stop Heat Escaping - double check all your windows are properly closed and shut your curtains to stop heat escaping.
  • General Energy Tips - switch of lights when not in use, don’t leave electrical appliances on standy, don’t put furniture in front of radiators, have a shower instead of bath, cook with proper lids on pans, only use washing machine when full, don’t boil more water than you need.
